C & W Manufacturing was established in 1997, with a couple of milling machines, a basic engine lathe and a whole lot of expertise, passion, and high spirits.
Over time, it grew in equipment as well as expertise expanding to more machines, more technical experts, and a larger volume of milling, turning, designing, and fabrication jobs.
After several expansions and acquiring various expertise in the industry, today C&W Manufacturing operates as a one-stop-shop for industrial fabrication and mechanical design needs, specializing in making compression molds for defense, machinery components for agricultural and food processing industries to name a few.
Wilson Chalabi founded C&W Manufacturing, initializing the names of his son Christopher and himself Wilson; for his newly established businesses. Calling his dream business C&W shows the commitment and love he had, for his family and work.
Wilson started his machinist training at the tender age of 12, at a local machine shop in Tehran, where he cleaned up chips and later assisted the machinists to gain experience and learn all about the equipment. His natural inclination towards tools and technical knowledge helped him quickly develop the skills in machining practices.
It wasn’t long before he set up his shop in Iran but then had to move to Germany taking up general laborer jobs where his work spoke of reliability and ethical practices; before immigrating to the United States.
His first job in Turlock, CA was at S&A Manufacturing in Livingston, CA where he started as a welder. It took him 8 years to finally save up the capital and gain the experience to establish his own machine shop. His dream was eventually a reality. In the short span of 3 years, he moved locations and expanded the facility.
Wilson believed in progression through the growth of technology and constantly updated his machines and his knowledge for the modern world. He was a man of action and worked until he passed away in 2021.
